Each button on the Property Search page performs a different type of search. The horizontal lines divide the Search page into distinct forms. The fields for specifying search criteria pertain only to the button on the respective form.
The search forms can be categorized as single parcel searches or multiple parcel searches. Single parcel searches accept criteria which uniquely describe a parcel: Account Number or Parcel Number. After entering the search criteria for a single parcel search, clicking the button will take you to the Parcel Detail Page to display the selected parcel.
Multiple parcel searches can retrieve many parcels based upon the specified criteria. After entering the search criteria for a multiple parcel search, clicking the button will take you to the Search Results Page. The Search Results Page displays the selected parcels. A parcel can be selected from the Search Results Page to be displayed on the Parcel Detail page.
Each of the search forms which can retrieve multiple parcels contains this field:
Maximum number of records to Display: Enter a number between 1-1000
The Maximum number of records to display limits the number of records on the Search
Results Page. Values between 1 and 1000 are valid. The default is 25.
The Account Number Search retrieves only one parcel.
Use this search if you know the Account Number.

The Parcel Number Search retrieves only one parcel.
Use this search if you know the Parcel Number.
Parcel Number:
The Owner Name Search can retrieve multiple parcels based upon the specified Owner Name.
The names of people are entered last name first. A comma and a space separate the last name from the first name. If a middle name or initial is recorded a space separates it from the first name.
Business names are entered in the normal way.
Name searches are essentially wildcard searches. Any name which begins with the
specified name will match. For example:

will match "Smith, George A" as well as "Smithsonian Institute" and
"Smith, Betty Sue". Specify as much of the name that is appropriate to
your search. Name searches are not case sensitive.
The Section, Township, & Range Search can retrieve multiple parcels based upon the specified Section (optional), Township (mandatory), and Range (mandatory).
Many parcels contain a metes and bounds description in the Assessor’s Parcel Description (Not to be used as a legal description). The Search Page constructs a search string based upon the Section,
Township, and Range that you specify. The search will retrieve records which contain that
string anywhere in the Assessor’s Parcel Description. For example, specifying:

will retrieve records containing "SECT,TWN,RNG:6-11-88" in the Assessor’s Parcel Description. The
following excerpt from an Assessor’s Parcel Description (Not to be used as a legal description) contains a match:

The Subdivision Search can retrieve multiple parcels based upon the specified subdivision.
Select the Subdivision Name from the drop down box. Each Subdivision Name appearing in the box, has a Subdivision Code associated with it. The search is performed on the parcel's Subdivision Code. The sample drop down box, below, contains only a few of the subdivisions available on the search page.
Subdivision:
To search for a parcel by Physical Address, enter as much of the Street Name as you wish, and click Search. To restrict the search to a specific street address, enter the Street Number as well as the Street Name. To restrict the search to a specific city, enter the City along with the Street Name (and Street Number, if appropriate).
Searching on the fields specified below will retrieve records for properties located on Maple in Glenwood Springs . Properties on Maple in other towns will not be retrieved.
Street Name searches (like owner name searches) are essentially wildcard searches. Any street name which begins with the specified name will match. City must be an exact match. Neither Street Name nor City are case sensitive. Street Number must be an exact match.
